Why we started Poppy & Lotus.
Shopping for botanicals shouldn’t mean guessing what you’re getting. We wanted one place with a carefully chosen selection, clear product information, and real people who can answer your questions — so we built it.
Botanicals shouldn’t require blind trust.
There are more ways than ever to shop for botanicals, and not all of them make it easy to know what you’re getting. Some products are hard to research, and some labels leave out the details that matter. We want to make that part easier.
How we choose what we carry.
Choose carefully
We look for brands that share third-party lab results and label their products clearly. If we’re not comfortable with a product, we’d rather pass on it.
Know the maker
We try to understand who makes each product we carry and where it comes from before it lands on our shelf.
Keep it clear
No hype and no scare tactics — just what’s on the label, what to know before you try something, and when to check with a doctor.
You shouldn’t need to be an expert to feel confident about what you’re buying.
Most people exploring botanicals for the first time aren't looking for a lecture. They want a clear sense of what's in a product and whether it's likely to be a good fit. We keep that in mind in how we source, write about, and sell everything we carry.
If you’re new to botanicals, or you already know what you like, we want Poppy & Lotus to be a place you come back to: honest product details, a selection we stand behind, and real people who can answer your questions.
